The event was organised by Pierre Valette, the Head of Research in the Economic, Social sciences and Humanities –Unit based at the EC’s Directorate-General Research, in preparation for the EU conference entitled "EU-2020 strategy - Insights from European research in socioeconomic sciences". The FINNOV project was one of a few select successful FP7 projects presented to the EC highlighting how FINNOV outputs respond to the challenges and objectives of the EU-2020 strategy priorities around creating value by basing growth on knowledge, empowering people in inclusive societies, and creating a competitive, connected and greener economy.
